Stair Workout You Can Complete In Under 15 Minutes

Climbing

One of the most simple and usual exercises you can perform on stairs just by going up and down. You can set your goal for how much height of stairs you can climb and descend. Goal-setting may also be influenced by time and speed. Start out slowly and gradually pick up the pace because stair climbing can be taxing on the legs. You can also engage in interval training, which is ascending one flight of steps quickly and then alternately ascending the following one more slowly.

Stair Pushups

Stair pushup is another essential exercise that you can perform just by using your steps. Without moving a step, start at the bottom of the steps. Place your hands firmly on a stair and slowly ease yourself over it. Your hands should stay beneath your shoulders. You will feel your core muscles functioning in this manner. Take a breath, and flex your elbows. Until your chest is barely above the stairs, stoop down. Exhale as you raise your body to the beginning position and straighten your arms. Your neck and back should remain neutral.

Stair Lunges

You may have heard about lunges exercise but we are pretty sure that many of you are not aware that you can perform effective lunges on stairs as well. Stair lunges are normal lunges but with stairs included. Begin by driving your left leg back in order to rest on a step. Next, inhale as you bend your knees and lower your body. Bring back the same standing position and recount the same with the other leg. A set of 5 and 10 should be enough.

Stair Hops

This exercise needs you to hop on the stairs with help of your both legs. You can also keep your feet shoulder-width apart and you can keep both feet together and then hop.
