7 Golden Rules Of Skincare That You Must Follow
A good skincare is the result of multiple trials and errors. Once you figure out what works best for your skin, you get super close to achieving your skin goals. Based on my experiences, I have compiled a list of easy to follow Golden Skincare rules that reveal a naturally glowing skin. These Golden rules comprise knowing your skin type, using a face toner, applying face serums, using a sunscreen regularly, using an anti-ageing face gel mask, drinking water, and face massage using face tools like Gua Sha stone, and face rollers.
1. Know Your Skin Type:
I learnt this the hard way! My actual skin care journey began 2 years back, and before that I was only used to applying moisturizers that too in winters only. I was honestly quite afraid to try other skincare products like serums, although a lot of my skincare junkie friends had recommended skin brightening serums for enhancing my skin’s radiance. I happened to borrow an acne prone skin serum from a friend to just try it out but it went horribly wrong! I had rashes on my skin and had to soothe them with aloe vera gel. So, before using any skincare product, identify your skin type and perform a patch test. My skin was dry, and anti-acne serums comprise Salicylic Acid that generally doesn’t go well with my skin type.
2. Use a Face Toner:
Face toners have literally evolved from just being your pH balancing buddies to actually participating in targeted problem solving for your skin. Face toners make other topical products like moisturizers or serums more efficacious! You can invest in alcohol-free face toners like pore tightening toners, Anti-ageing face toners, Exfoliating toners, or Gel-based Skin smoothening toners that enhance your skin’s texture while also delivering targeted benefits.
3. Invest In a Potent Serum:
Serums give more specific benefits to your skin. You can choose a serum depending on your skin type and concerns. If your goal is to reduce skin dullness and rejuvenate it, you can try Vitamin C serums, if you have frequent breakouts, you can try acne prone skin serums. If you have dark spots or pigmentation, you can try face serums with Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide, or Glycolic Acid, active ingredients that help in lightening your skin tone and fading these spots.
4. Don’t Skip Sunscreen:
Not an overrated rule! If you want a glowing skin, protect your skin from UV-induced damage, and want to delay visible signs of ageing like wrinkles, you should use sunscreen daily!
5. Use an Anti-ageing Face Gel Mask:
This is a beautiful skincare investment! I use a face gel mask every Sunday, and it is such a bliss! My skin looks visibly youthful and radiant, my laugh lines have also sobered up. My personal favorites’ is the Red Wine Gel Mask, which has such a pleasing smell! It’s made of real wine extracts, Paris-based ingredients and feels literally like luxury on the skin.
6. Drink Water:
Pleaseee!!! Hydration is the key to good-looks, good-looks, and good-looks! It keeps your skin hydrated inside out! Water also removes toxins and keeps you feeling fresh.
7. Face Massage:
Massage your face using face tools like face Gua Sha stone and face rollers. These face tools are the powerhouses of anti-ageing benefits. They improve lymphatic drainage, blood circulation, and wrinkle appearance. Using face tools can also promote a natural face lift and plumper-looking skin.
Most importantly, be consistent and sincere with these 7 golden rules like knowing your face type, using a face toner, using face serums, using sunscreen, applying anti-ageing face gel mask, drinking water, and using face tools like Gua Sha stone. These golden rules can reveal a naturally glowing, and healthy skin!
