NRA Range Safety Officer

The goal of the NRA Online Course on Range Development and Operations is to teach potential and current range owners and operators how to spot potential problems with range development, safety, and environmental issues. Getting more education is a key part of moving up in any field. The person in charge of a shooting range today needs the business sense of a businessman, the knowledge of a gun enthusiast, and the health and safety knowledge of a professional.

The NRA Range Safety Officer program was made because people wanted a range safety officer certification that was recognized all over the country. NRA Range Safety Officers are people who have the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to plan, run and oversee safe shooting activities and range operations.

The Refuse To Be A Victim Online Instructor Development Workshop will give you the training and credentials you need to teach Refuse To Be A Victim® seminars in your community. These seminars are the NRA’s award-winning personal safety and crime prevention program. People want to go to these seminars because they teach them how to improve their own safety and what techniques and strategies they can use to avoid being easy targets of crime.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS?

Anyone who wants to become an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. Certified Range Safety Officers are needed at all Boy Scouts of America shooting events, NRA-sponsored shooting competitions and events, and other shooting events. They are also needed at almost every commercial shooting range and gun club.

Instead, it is meant to give students as many chances as possible to practice running a safe range. In each region, the course will be made to fit the needs of each club while making sure that the training is still useful for running any range. The RSO course has written tests, oral tests, and practical tests on the range. Other important topics like the law, range rules, and guest days are also talked about.

The RSO qualification gives a person or a club proof that they have been trained as a RO, which they can use on club ranges. The RSO doesn’t have the right training to be a RO on the Ministry of Defense (MoD) Ranges. The NRA RSO qualification is also pushed as “best practice” for all clubs that shoot at Bisley.

MLAGB RO Endorsement

This course, which is put on in conjunction with the MLAGB, isn’t meant to teach muzzle loading. Instead, it will cover range management and everything else that current NRA range officers need to know to add muzzle loading and black powder to their qualifications.

People who attend should know a lot about all muzzle-loading disciplines. There will be work in both the classroom and on the range.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

In the rare case that we don’t have at least three people in a class, we may move students to the next class that works with their schedule. Rescheduled students will have priority for the next scheduled class.

Small classes give you a personal, guided learning experience and make sure that your training needs are met.

CSA’s policy on bad weather is meant to keep everyone safe. CSA will attempt to notify anyone registered for a class that is canceled due to inclement weather as soon as the decision is made. Each participant will get a phone call, text message, or email with the news. The cancellation will also be posted on CSA’s social media pages. If there is bad weather, CSA will not give a refund for the class or event, but they will reschedule the class or student for another time.

REFUND POLICY

CSA does not give refunds for training or events if you can’t go or change your mind. CSA will be happy to reschedule you for a later class or event or give you a store credit that you can use for another class, store merchandise, or range time. If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must let CSA know at least 72 hours in advance. This is so that other people who may be waiting to attend can get in.
